Avalanche Girls – GU19 Recreational Cup Champions!
The Southlake Avalanche girls won the GU19 Recreational Cup championship in dramatic fashion, Sunday afternoon at Starfire. After being down 4-1 to a very strong Fall City G07 Strikers team, Avalanche mounted a furious comeback and ended up winning 6-5 in overtime! Avalanche advanced to the finals by defeating the United G07 Cheetahs in the semifinals on Saturday in another high-scoring affair, 5-4. Congratulations to the team, head coach Bob Coccia and assistant coach Becky Cundiff. Way to go Avalanche!
